1.42 release introduced ability to add Metadata to generated documents. If Document Type equals PDF then an additional configuration section “Metadata” will appear under the Details section of the Template Configuration record page.

User can add one of the following Metadata: Author, Creator, Producer, Subject and Title. Additionally, a Custom Metadata can be added where Users can manually define the entry’s key.

Each key can be mapped to either Current User, Object or Text value.

It should be noted that adding Metadata will not occur for merged documents.

After the generation process is completed, added Metadata can be found under document’s properties.

Aveneer Metadata is also compatible with Aveneer Signature module. In this case, Created Date would be the initial document generation (moment when signatures are requested) and Modify Date would be the moment when final signature is collected and the document is returned to Salesforce.
